franciegrubba is an independent automotive publication built on a simple idea: drivers and riders deserve honest information. We test parts, gear and vehicles ourselves, publish the numbers we measure, and recommend only what we would buy with our own money.
Who we are
We are a small team of reviewers, mechanics and riders who have spent years around cars, motorcycles and dealerships. Between us we have fitted hundreds of brake pads, logged thousands of fuel fills and tested gear in real weather. franciegrubba exists to close the gap between what marketing promises and what a product actually does, giving buyers plain answers in place of glossy brochures.
Our mission
Our mission is to make buying and owning a car or motorcycle simpler and fairer. We compare parts and gear on the things that matter over months of use, not the first ten minutes: safety, durability, cost per mile and value. Every guide is written to help you spend less and end up safer and happier with what you ride or drive.
Editorial standards
We accept no sponsored rankings and no payment for a favourable verdict. Parts run on the same cars, gear is worn over the same loops, and prices come from independent retail data rather than a single dealer. When a product disappoints us, we say so and explain exactly why. Where we use outside figures, we link to the original source so you can check it yourself, such as the NHTSA safety ratings or the official fuel-economy database. We would rather you verify a claim than take it on faith.
The team
Our testers come from road-test and workshop backgrounds, which is why our advice focuses on the details owners and riders actually live with. Each article carries an author byline, and our testing notes are available on request. If something in our work looks wrong, tell us and we will correct it in public.
